Storm Series knives are inspired by Davis’s grandfather, who served and protected his country and local community during World War II.

A trained law scholar from Soochow University Law School, he originally pursued a career in law and public administration. However, when the war reached China in 1937, he made a decisive turn in his life—stepping away from a stable legal career to take on the responsibility of civilian air defense leadership in the Hangzhou Bay region.

As the Director of the Haining County Air Defense Command, he coordinated civil defense operations across coastal towns including Haiyan, Ganpu, and Jiaxing. In a time without modern radar or communication systems, he helped build early warning networks, organized air-raid shelters, developed evacuation strategies, and coordinated rescue and logistics systems to protect civilians during frequent air raids.

His courage under pressure, leadership in crisis, and unwavering sense of responsibility became the foundation of this knife collection.

Each model in the Storm Series reflects a different dimension of that legacy:
